The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race began on Sunday. It's in all the Alaskan newspapers and online. The race starts in Willow, Alaska, and ends in Nome, Alaska. This race follows part of the route (trail) that dog mushers (people who have dog teams for transportation) used in 1925 to get medicine to Nome during a diptheria epidemic (wave of sickness).
