Kodiak Adult Basic Education has many classes this fall!
Most classes run
September 16 - December 13, 2013.
Remember--we NEED students to continue offering classes for free. As students get stronger with English, it is natural to move on from classes, but we need your help finding other English language learners. Please share this information with your family, friends, social groups, organizations, churches, and work places.
LOCATION: Kodiak College Campus, Campus Center Building, Room 208
CONTACT: 486-1201 or 486-1243
DO NOT BE AFRAID TO LEAVE A MESSAGE! We will call you back.
Here is our class list:
Read and Discuss, Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 am -12:00
This is my intermediate class, and I will concentrate on reading, writing, speaking, and listening all in one class. We will use News For You as a starting point, but will include talk shows, presentations, artwork, poems, letter writing, and more.
Advanced Grammar, Monday and Wednesday, 9:30 am -10:30 am
Everyone says they want grammar! Are you ready for this?!
Independent Study Tracks
Wednesday, 10:30 -12:00 noon
Tuesday and Thursday, 12:00 -3:00
Not everyone can attend class. These "independent study tracks" help students focus on one area of study. This is not a class, but times when we are available to aid students who are working on their own. We will work closely to find material that is of interest for you. Students will have study plans to mark their progress and keep track of accomplishments. This is for any level student, but remember students will work independently!
