The Kodiak Audubon Society hosts hikes all summer long. Different people lead the hikes, and the hikes go on many different trails around Kodiak. You need to be prepared and wear good hiking shoes or boots, and be sure to take extra clothing, food, and water in a small backpack. Be safe and dress for the weather! The hikes are from easy to difficult: 1 = easy, and 5 = most difficult. When you look at the schedule, you will see the date, destination (place), leader (person showing the trail), "number of difficulty", and a phone number.
Hikes leave from the ferry dock every Saturday and Sunday morning at 9:30am. (You can "carpool" with other people. You do not have to own a car.) Kids are welcome, especially on the 3, 2, and 1 hikes. It is a great way to get out and learn the trails, and it is also a great way to meet new people!

I will organize a class hike soon!
